Day 8: Ferragudo, Guinness, and an Inspiring Hike in Monchique

After waking up refreshed and full of energy, I began the day with a drive to Ferragudo for a walk along the beach. The quiet and scenic views were the perfect start to the morning.

On the way back to Portimão, I stopped at the Continente Shopping Mall, where I finally found Guinness beer for €2.39. While there, I spotted some storks, likely stopping on their migration to Africa.

Back at the apartment, I had lunch and searched for hiking trails on the AllTrails app. I found an area called Monchique that looked intriguing, so I drove to Caldas de Monchique, a beautiful and serene spot.

There, I hiked the Miradouro das Caldas e Termas de Monchique trail. The hike was stunning, with diverse landscapes: lush jungle-like greenery, outback-style red dirt, cork trees, a small stream crossing, and a picturesque garden with natural springs at the end.

The hike was so enjoyable that it sparked a newfound love for exploring trails, leaving me excited for future adventures.
